Server Address and ports configures the IP address and port the MyConnection Server® will use for browser access.
Database Timezone Selection
Select the timezone you want to use for all database entries. Timezones are always kept the same to avoid confusion.
Capacity Testing
Capacity Testing options provide the UDP testing port number to be used as well as the default test limits because this is a capacity test which dynamically increases the load. The data limits cover:
• Max Bandwidth - limits the maximum upper speed that will be attempted
• Max data transfer - limits the maximum data allowed on the network
• Max packets - limits the maximum packet rate allowed
IPTV Simulation
IPTV simulation configures the UDP port numbers for the IPTV test.
Bandwidth Testing
Bandwidth testing configures the TCP port numbers for the TCP socket-to-socket test. HTTP testing will use the MyConnection HTTP server port.
The max data transfer defines the maximum data allowed on the network during a speed test. The speed test will finish when either the test time or the test data expires.
Streaming Video Simulation
Streaming video test configures the TCP port number for the RTSP test process.
VoIP Simulation
VoIP simulation configures the UDP port numbers for the upload and download ports. Setting a port to zero will disable that test.
Usage Throttling
Usage Throttling configures 3 throttling options:
1. Web testing to ensure that the server manages concurrency during peak loads efficiently.
2. Remote agent testing to ensure that two or more agents do not test at the same time to a single server unless required to do so.
3. User test limits to restrict remote users for a give time period such as 10 tests per day or 3 tests per hour etc.
Permitted Domains
Permitted domains is a security option to restrict what web domains are allowed remote access to speed testing services.
Email setup
Email setup configures the SMTP server domain name, username and password details for the alert emails.
