The MyRoute connection test identifies connectivity problems by discovering and analyzing
the entire network route between the testing workstation
or server and the destination.
This identifies and tests all the routers that comprise the connection, including peering
points, for packet
loss and latency problems.
VisualRoute also identifies the location of the router so any large change in latency can be validated against
distance, such as a transatlantic hop.
To initiate a test you must first select the starting
location. This is usually from the testing server to the workstation or vice-versa from the workstation to
the testing server. You can also test a connection from your workstation or the MyRoute server to any Internet
address using MyRoute remote
agents.
